Last month I had the opportunity to meet, chat and have coffee with 2 beautiful women. Both these women have 2 totally separate stories on how they got to where they are today, but are both so inspiring I couldn't help but feature them both in this months spotlight edition. Nashville is so very lucky to have them working and creating jobs for people and just overall the hussle they both have that drives them daily is amazing. I was extremely lucky to have had the privilege of meeting and spending time with these powerhouse women. #husslegamestrong
Brittany Farrar is probably one of the nicest humans I have met in Nashville. Actually. You speak to her about fitness and see the passion in her eyes. She is so willing to teach, be taught, and grow. Any parent would approve of her being their child's role model. The dedication she has to Shed Group Fitness is not found often. We have a gift for you guys too!!! Use the code Northandnash when checking out and receive 10% off your purchase! The code is available both in person at Shed Group Fitness- GULCH or online at Shed Group Fitness. Check out our interview below and get to know Britt... it actually doesn't really do her justice, you should probably sign up for one of her classes and see for yourself.

North + Nash Interview:
Brittany Farrar (Shed Group Fitness)
1. How long have you been open/established?
I've been working with Shed Fitness for 2 1/2 years, and recently opened and now a co-owner of Shed Fitness Gulch.
2. What Inspired the business?
I wanted a change, I had previously worked in the music industry as an executive assistant with BBR Music Group. Health and Fitness had always been a part of my life and when this opportunity came to join Shed, it was exactly what I needed.
3. Who inspired the big career change?
There are a lot of people in my life who have supported and mentored me, but in the end I would say myself. It was something I just really wanted to do and so I took the opportunity.
4. What's your favourite class to teach?
Full Body, but I love the personal sessions as well. It's a different range of fitness, from people who are intimidated by the group classes or they are looking for a specific level of training that they can achieve through the private sessions.
5. What's your most popular class?
The Lower body class, I think most people like to do "leg day" with others and not suffer alone .
6. Are you from Nashville?
No, northern California, I've been here in Nashville for 4 years.
7. What hours are you open?
Weekdays from 5am-8pm. Saturday 7-11:30am Sunday8-11am
Meet our next and equally talented woman entrepreneur- Laci Bonner. From the time she was in her early 20's this girl as rocked her own business world. Opening up her first clothing store The Rage, relocating to Nashville a few years later and doing it again and AGAIN with REVV and The Nash Collection. She is quite funny, and extremely kind (she is the other nicest human in Nashville). After my interview with Laci I obviously had to shop as well, not because I felt obligated to but because her clothes are actually AH-mazing. I found this edgy studded leather jacket (on sale- BONUS!) but unfortunately she only had larges left, I was super sad. Being the person she is, she actually offered me HER leather jacket (she has the same one in small at home). I thought she was joking...nope. She said she needed to offload some clothes anyways and was more then willing to sell it to me. WTF, please tell me the last time a store owner had done something like that for you?! She is one of a kind...check out our fun interview below and another bonus for you- use Northandnash as a coupon code and receive 10% off your purchase!!!! Code available for use in both store- 1815 21st Ave S, Nashville, TN 37212, USA and online at REVV.

North + Nash Interview:
Laci Bonner (The Rage, Revv + The Nash Collection)
1. How long have you been open/established?
I opened The Rage in 2010 which is now an online store, Revv was opened the summer of 2015, and The Nash Collection was opened the summer of 2016.
2. Are you originally from Nashville?
No, I'm originally from Arkansas. That's where I opened my first business The Rage.
3. What Inspired the business?
When I opened Revv, I wanted something different from The Rage. I wanted something edgier, grungy and more my style. It was the same operation but with a Nashville twist.
4. Who designed the interior? What was the inspiration behind it?
I designed the interior with the help of DA|AD Architecture. The inspiration was based on grunge and an industrial feel.
5. What's your favourite store item?
the shoes... funny actually my favorite is called the North by Dolce Vita.

The sign behind the desk. Clean lines, but it's the exact description of what I wanted the store to be. Grunge + Industrial.

the original ball cap in charcoal grey with white embroidery, for the sports fans its definitely the SMASH hat (Go Preds!)
